5 Trends to try this fall

Sweater-vests are back and at the top of my list for fall. Vests are classic, versatile, and the perfect transitional piece to try this season. They provide an extra layer of warmth and offer a layer of color, pattern, and design to any outfit. Try layering a vest over a T-shirt, a white-collared blouse, or a printed tissue-weight turtleneck. For the more adventurous, try adding a sweater vest over a dress.

Relaxed blazers

mean, who doesn’t love a good blazer? A blazer is an essential item for any wardrobe, and this relaxed style fills the need for the 9-to-5 workweek and a layering piece to wear to weekend brunch. Try wearing a relaxed blazer with denim and heels, Chelsea boots, or sneakers. Blazers add sharpness and sophistication to any outfit.

Dark washed jeans

With many loose-fitting denim options available this season, try dark-wash straight-leg jeans. They are a more relaxed silhouette than skinny jeans and easy to wear with Chelsea boots, heels or sneakers. I’d pair straight-leg jeans with a classic button-down blouse, retro sneakers, and an oversize blazer for a cool, classic look.

Anyone that knows me would tell you I love wearing minimalistic neutrals and often recommend them for a timeless look. Yet this fall, I’m challenging myself to try adding beautifully saturated colors to my wardrobe. The color combinations will add interest and brighten up your look.

Small shoulder bag

A small shoulder bag should be large enough to hold the essentials without weighing you down.

What trend are you looking forward to try this season?

Transitional pieces that won’t break the bank

If you’re looking for stylish ways to navigate this in-between period, keep scrolling for the smart, transitional style picks you should add to your cart now.

Shoes can make the biggest difference when you’re trying to nail transitional dressing. I love mixing and matching high-contrast pieces, like a long coat with strappy heels – or light-colored denim with chunky boots. It gives you the best of both seasons!

Layers are great for building a versatile wardrobe, so adding new knitwear to your closet is essential. I’m particularly fond of cropped cardigans and collared sweaters, which look as amazing with your summer basics as they do with true fall pieces.

Faux Leather Pants

One of the transitional pieces I’m most excited to break out is faux leather pants! Whether you opt for a pair of vinyl leggings or paperbag waist trousers, they’ll go far in your wardrobe. Just style them with your favorite summer blouses now and then cozy knitwear later.

Knit Dress

Knit dresses have been one of summer’s most versatile trend and I’ve covered it countless times on the blog already. The great thing about them is that they’ll carry you seamlessly into fall! Opt for a cutout dress or sweetheart neckline for late summer BBQs and chilly fall dinners.

Oversized Button Up Shirt

Basic button-up shirts might seem boring – but they’re making a huge come back in the fashion world. They make great layering pieces as you transition out of summer. Best of all, button up shirts can be dressed up with leggings for a date night but also paired with trousers for the office.

Hope this post takes the guesswork out of transitional dressing, making it so easy for you to find versatile pieces that can be reworked for any occasion

Neutral Fall decor

Summer’s end is upon us which means is time for fall themed home decor and pieces to cozy up your space for the upcoming season.

If you been following me for a while you know I love classic and neutral pieces even on holidays so I am continuing to share my love of all the neutral, “lived in” vibes all these pieces, (especially when styled together), giving a nod to warmer season worthy earth tones and prints.

So it is with warmer neutral tones, organic natural textures mixed with metal accents are what I featured here. Each retailer had a great assortment of such finds, with beautiful stoneware vases, woven collections and faux stem arrangements that marry that play so nice together. I have mentioned this before, but I especially love the trend of incorporating varying textures; it adds so much richness to a space. Layering different fabrics, (especially when tone on tone), adds dimension, interest and amps up the cozy factor for all those chilly fall nights ahead. Try mixing materials, whether they be velvet, chunky knit throws or faux fur…

Hope this collages give you some home inspo

If you want to look and feel your best check this out!

I don’t believe that you have to spend a lot of money in order to  look and feel your best. It’s a good philosophy to spend money on things that give the most value, like versatile clothing staples you can wear with any outfit, inexpensive beauty products that actually work, and affordable alternatives  that are as good as the name-brand options for a fraction of the price.

The things on this list include some of Amazon’s top sellers with thousands of reviews, and they’re so popular for a simple reason: They help you feel great without breaking the bank.

  1. A clip on light that illuminates all of your selfies

Thanks to this phone clip on selfie light  you don’t have to wait until golden hour to get the perfect lighting. Clip this ring right onto your phone, pick your brightness level, and start snapping. Its 36 LEDs have the ability to illuminate almost any setting, and since it’s rechargeable via USB, you don’t have to worry about cords or the cost of replacement batteries

2. Skin friendly double sided tape

Gaps in button-downs, slippery straps, tops that won’t stay put, drapey dresses that need a little security — Fashion tape fixes all of that and more. This double-sided adhesive is safe on both your skin and your clothing, and it’s designed to be waterproof, non-irritating, and easy to apply.

3. Because nothing looks good with wrinkles

This steamer is lightweight, portable, and handheld, but don’t let that fool you: It has a large enough capacity for 15 minutes of continuous steaming, so you can zap away wrinkles.

4.An eyeliner stamp pen for the foolproof wing

This winged eyeliner stamp pen also has a waterproof, smudge-proof formula that dries fast and stays on all day, and each order comes with two pens; one for either eye. One side offers a standard felt tip for applying liquid eyeliner — but the other end features a genius stamp that gives you the perfect wing every time.

5. This fabric shaver that makes old clothes & upholstery look “like new”

Thinking about replacing your couch, leggings collection, or winter sweaters? Try the  fabric shaver first. Using a protected blade and a battery-powered motor, this little tool safely removes pills, lint, and matted fibers, all without harming the fabric or upholstery.

6. This ice roller for pain or puff relief

Keep it in the freezer, and this ice roller will absorb the cold in its textured roller head. You then have targeted relief for headaches, sunburn, puffiness, or even dullness.

7.Quick and easy way to smooth down flyaways

Because it’s the same size and shape as a tube of mascara, this hair finishing cream is travel-friendly and fits effortlessly in your cosmetics bag. The wax formula and the application stick, however, aren’t for your eyelashes, but for your hair: They smooth down flyaways, split ends, fussy bangs, and strands that are too short for your up-do, so your hair looks flawless all day long.

8. An 8 second hair treatment that’s deeply hydrating but not greasy

People say it is the “best hair conditioning treatment” they have “ever used.” In just eight seconds, it penetrates hair strands with lamellas, which reinforce follicles and minimize damage — but because the formula is water-based, even the thinnest hair experiences healing without feeling weight-down or greasy.

9. Skinny jeans that you pull on like leggings

Even though they’re as comfortable and as practical as leggings, these pants have earned themselves a number-one best-selling spot in the women’s jeans category. They’re made from cotton denim, so they offer structure and an elevated look in your choice of eight colors. That said, because of their elastic waistband that pulls right on (no buttons or zippers required), reviewers report that they’re “so comfortable you could wear them to sleep.”

10. The most comfortable no shoe Underwear

For $10, you can grab this six pack — and if you don’t love the colors shown here, there are several other multi-packs to choose from,. They’re made from 95% cotton with 5% spandex for stretch, so they’re breathable, durable, and feel great on your skin.

11. No show socks that actually stay up

These no show socks are also made from a stretchy cotton blend, and they have built-in silicone strips that comfortably grip your heel. Despite the cushioned foot and reinforced toe seam, they’re breathable and non-bulky, too.

12. Halter tank bodysuit that will never come untucked

Tuck it into a high-waisted skirt. Wear it alongside jeans. Layer it over slacks and under a blazer. With this bodysuit the possibilities are endless — especially since it comes in several solid colors and won’t come untucked. The nylon-spandex material is soft and stretchy, while the snap-button closure makes it easy to use the bathroom.

13. A tote bag that could pass for designer

This tote looks far more expensive than you think, its big enough for books and laptops, while its reinforced inner pocket keeps your phone and sunglasses within reach. It also comes in loads of faux-leather colors, all with a stylish tassel.

14. The best white T-shirt

A basic T-shirt is an essential building block for any wardrobe, but some are definitely better than others. The ribbed crew neckline and pre-shrunk, ring-spun cotton looks great wash after wash, and if white isn’t your color, it comes in 18 other shades, too.

Hope this items help you look and feel your best

Summer pieces to buy now and wear thru the fall season

It’s always fun to try statement-making pieces – but at the end of the day, I know that a great wardrobe starts with a strong foundation of basics. Think seasonal and year-round items that you shouldn’t be without from versatile handbags to casual layers. If you don’t have those bases covered, getting dressed becomes more of a headache than it is fun. With that in mind, I wanted to focus today’s post on those summer staples that will take you far into fall.

Woven bags are great during that in-between period while chunky chain strap bags like  this will complement both fall and summer ensembles.

The mix-and-match nature of two-piece sets is a huge part of their appeal for me. That’s exactly why they’re one of the newer styles I swear by for going from summer to fall.

I love seamless, polished looks and bodysuits are the easiest way to achieve that.

You can throw one over anything and it always looks cozy chic.

Hope you enjoy the last few weeks of summer
